TRISK: WAM Jazz Song of the Year Winners 2014!

Some exciting news today! TRISK took out the 2014 WAM Song of the Year (Jazz), announced on March 21, 2015 at the WAM Awards Party in Fremantle. The winning entry was a new tune by Nick Abbey, entitled Charon. A demo of this tune can be heard on Soundcloud, and we are expecting that a high-quality studio version will appear on our upcoming full album, which will probably start production in the middle of the year. We were also stoked to have Commodity nominated in the category, another new TRISK song co-written by Nick and Chris Foster.

See the full list of winners and nominees here!!

Congratulations to the other nominees in our category - Mace Francis, Luke Minness, and Lofty Heights - for your great music, and to everyone else involved with the night. Thanks to WAM for your support of original music in WA, and to the sponsors of the award: The Ellington Jazz Club, Perth Jazz Society, and Poons Head Studio

Keep an eye out for new recordings of TRISK - the EP is just around the corner!
